Having seen the potential of online commerce with their current platform but being frustrated with it’s feature set, Zhu-Zhu commissioned Jigowatt to freshen up their corporate identity and design a new site based on the Magento platform.

With stunning illustrations and Jigowatt’s amazing attention to detail ( check their image zoomer ) we blew the competition out of the water. During this project Jigowatt circumvented a few of Magento’s misgivings to provide Zhu-Zhu with functionality not available at the time of commission.

Utilising the ability to push feeds to 3rd parties such as Amazon and Ebay Zhu-Zhu’s sales have really taken off. Christmas 2010 was phenomenal culminating with a staggering ~400 orders a day.

Seeing mCommerce as a big part of their strategy Zhu-Zhu have also opted to prepare and optimise the store for use on mobile devices, iPhone in particular.

The site automatically detects mobile browsers and delivers content in a cut-down, intuitive interface which focuses purely on content and driving sales rather than heavy graphics and code which can be slow loading on mobile networks.

Zhu-Zhu was also awarded the title “CMS site of the month” by nationwide magazine .net.
