Jigowatt have been building WordPress sites for over eleven years and in that time we’ve seen almost every page builder it has to offer. All of them can be useful in their own way, but far too often they can be frustrating, confusing and produce bloated code.
However last year we came across Elementor. Some of you may know what this is already (they’re rather good at advertising) and for others, it might be the first you’re hearing about it. Elementor essentially means you can design your website live.
It offers pre-made templates, has introduced the ability to build headers and footers, can build custom templates for all your archives, has hundreds of add-ons and fantastic support!
In our experience, it’s the best page builder on the market. So much so that it’s actually changed the way we build websites. We altered our base theme to work with Elementor, pre-styling a lot of the default widgets it has available and making sure that it was efficient as possible. This has helped optimise our web design process so we can focus on making your website look as good as it can be. Just have a look at a few of the site’s we’ve built using it:
How can all this benefit you?
Elementor can totally change the way you build and edit your website. The amount of freedom it can offer you is quite honestly amazing and since we’ve started using it our clients love it.
Not being totally dependent on the original developer to make small changes it’s extremely handy for more technical users. If you do want a bit of custom functionality this can still easily be done to the theme or by building a custom Elementor widget. There are plenty of free Elementor themes that look great!
Also by switching your site to Elementor, you may see a drastic increase in your site’s performance as it’s nowhere near as bloated and doesn’t have any problems with caching plugins.
Most of what we’ve discussed is bundled into the pro version of Elementor, but the free version is fantastic for basic page editing if you aren’t interested in building headers, footers and templates in it.
