Branding

The graphic represents the two Cs in the business name but also looks like a top-down view of a pot. Hats off to Andy for coming up with this genius idea.
Website Design
The main focus of the new site is to highlight new artists and showcase their work.
Rather than the traditional big hero banner, this area is split into four sections with cut-outs of pots from the site’s featured artists. This not only highlights the artist but a favourite piece of work for sale and a direct link to the artist’s landing page.
As you navigate down the page we introduce the mission statement and then a stunning category filter which gives a glimpse into the categories that the artists have to offer and a quick preview of some of the products. We also included a pop-up newsletter block, standard news section and a few key bits of information regarding shipping, returns etc.
We decided to give the entire design a lot of white space and room to breath which puts a lot of emphasis on the products rather than distracting with bright backgrounds. This in combination with the use of Eina as our main font, we think looks outstanding.
Functionality
Using the WooCommerce Product Vendors plugin allows artists to sign up to sell their products through the site. This also utilises PayPal Payouts API, which can automatically pay a set commission percentage to the sellers whenever a product is sold.
