Website Redesign
One of the clients comes from a design background so they already had a logo designed and colour scheme in mind so this was a good starting point. The logo consisted of an illustrated bee in a hexagon so we thought it’d be nice to introduce elements of this into the design of the page. So across heroes and full bleed colour sections we subtly use a honeycomb pattern to bring that part of the logo into the site. We also had the bee from the logo animated flying up the page to add some interactivity.
We wanted to add some other subtle animations down the page as we use large icons to help represent the different services so we converted them to SVG’s and did some bespoke SVG animations on hover to increase interactivity.
The site makes use of Elementor to make the design process as smooth as possible and to allow the client to edit the site once live if they wish to do so. It also gives them limitless design possibilities for posts, new pages and anything else they want to add to the site.
Maintenance & support
We host Bee Ethical on our WordPress optimised servers with WP Engine and they’re also on our gold hosting package meaning we handle site maintenance and updates for them so they never have to worry about missing out on the latest features the plugins have to offer.
Website performance
With the site making use of lots of full width images we’ve tried to optimise where we can by using SVG for icons and background elements helping decrease load times. It also makes use of our bespoke Elementor hybrid theme to make sure there isn’t any code bloat.
